Astute wishes a very happy 50th birthday toMargaret Green Animal Rescue of Dorset. This charity helps rescue, care for, and rehome 1,200 animals a year, many of them abandoned and ill-treated. Animals of all shapes and sizes are looked after – from cats, dogs, and rabbits to donkeys, goats and pigs. The charity receives no government funding, so we hope that our £270 donation from our mufti day will go towards helping them carry on their good work. To support…

We are very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world. Some of the team took advantage of the wonderful weather to take in the sights and enjoy a leisurely cycle from the Astute offices to Sandbanks and back – with the obligatory stop for a pub lunch on the return leg, of course!

YGO-TCG Bournemouth is a club is for children and young adults who play a trading card game called Yu-Gi-Oh. Many members have an ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), ranging from high-functioning Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome to dyslexia and speech impediments. Because people with an ASD often struggle in social situations, the club allows them to meet and interact with like-minded others in a safe and structured location. Because family is important to us, one of our traditions at Astute is the giving of personalised baby stools to our team members when they celebrate a new addition to their families. Every day, 10 children and young people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer. CLIC Sargent is a national charity with one simple aim: to help ease the burden of childhood cancer on children, young people, and their families. Astute’s mufti donation of £260 will go towards helping the charity provide clinical, practical, financial, and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. Beating out Premier League winner Jose Mourinho to the top spot, the award recognises Eddie’s achievements in taking our beloved AFC Bournemouth into the top flight for the first time in its history. It was one year ago today that Paul Woods stepped into the CRN Fight Night ring and emerged victorious. It seems like only yesterday! Paul, on behalf of everyone at Astute, wishes good luck to all of this year’s competitors – and whilst in each bout there can only be one winner, every single fighter there is a champion in our eyes, boxing against industry insiders to raise thousands for a host of charities chosen by the fighters themselves.

What do leads make? Raffle prizes! With 1 raffle ticket for every lead generated, the Network Infrastructure team not only smashed its target this April, but managed to bag some fantastic prizes along the way, including Nerf guns, hairdryers, DVDs, headphones, and of course, a little something to celebrate with.

Astute has donated £280 to the Senior Staffy Club, a specialist charity which rescues, rehomes and cares for older Staffordshire Bull Terriers in need. This particular donation is to go towards restoring Stevie the Staffy’s eyesight – Stevie was blind and abandoned but the senior Staffy Club rescued him from being put down and found him a loving home – and with our help the charity can fund an operation to restore 85% of his sight.
