Massive Congratulations to Astutian Chris Dionasis who took part in Ultra White collar boxing 18 in aid of Cancer Research UK Cancer Research UK. After months of hard work and training, Chris won his fight and Astute are proud to donate £299 to this worthwhile cause.

Even when staff move on from Astute we always enjoy keeping in touch. Simon Karacinski was at Astute for 9 years, initially as a Business Development Specialist and then a Campaign Manager before moving into our Commercial Team as a Business Relationship Manager. Last Friday, 5 Astutians braved the stormy sea’s (well, a marquee in Bournemouth Square anyway!) to row 10,000m for The Dorset Blind Association. The team completed the challenge in 45 minutes 10 seconds and alongside the funds collected from a companywide mufti day, generated £350 for the charity. On Friday, Astutians gathered at Sharkeys Sports Bar Bournemouth for our Annual Pool Tournament. In total, 24 employees took part in the event which was held in aid of Stroke Association. After a fiercely competitive tournament, we whittled our budding pool players down to the final three –Jack Francis Peter Rutterford, Paul Woods and Darren Robertson. Every Friday Astute runs a mufti day to raise money for various charities. All of our staff can nominate any charitable cause close to their hearts. Each staff member then pays £1 to participate and Astute doubles the collection before it is donated!! Recent Friday, not only did our lead generation team take part in mufti, but we also ran a Happy Hour incentive. Who’d have thought caffeine, chocolates and liquor could be such a motivator!!
