Movember UK was setup as a leading charity to change the face of men’s health; providing support for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. To raise awareness and support this fantastic cause, a group of Astutians took on the challenge to Grow a Mo throughout November (some more successfully than others!) We are delighted to be able to donate £299 to this extremely worthy cause! Thank you to everyone who took part!

Clothes may make a statement but costumes always tell a story! And what a selection of stories our team told yesterday dressed in their spooky Halloween outfits! A phenomenally creepy mufti day in aid of our friend Simon Brooks who recently walked the Great Wall of China raising money for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice. Astute are delighted to donate £200 to this fantastic cause. Well Done Simon for achieving such a mammoth challenge!!

We’ll it wasn’t quite the Grand Prix but our Mobility & Telecoms Team definitely got their adrenaline pumping last week at their Karting Incentive. A fantastic way to blow off steam, socialise and unwind to celebrate the end of another successful quarter. huge thank you to the team at Wessex Raceway Indoor Karting for hosting us – the team had an awesome time!

A huge thank you to the team at The Lost Paradise Bar for hosting our International Team End of Quarter Night Out. The team had a fantastic time, the drinks were flowing, the music was pumping and the atmosphere was awesome! We’re looking forward to visiting you again very soon!

Glow in the Park = The Ultimate Night-time Neon Event! Last Saturday a team of Astutians donned their glow paint and glitter to take part in this fantastic event running 5K to raise money for Regain, the only charity dedicated to improving the independence of all British men and women who have become tetraplegic through a sports injury. The music was pumping, the foam was flowing and the colours were dazzling, it was pure sensory overload – such an amazing night…

After the success of our first session a few weeks ago; another group of Astutians took to the water last week for Sunset Paddle Boarding. We are so lucking having the sea on our door step and this year we’re really making the most of it! Everyone who took part had a great time with the night being topped off with a beach barbecue in Sandbanks.

What better way to let off steam at the weekend than with a day’s paintballing with colleagues?! This weekend, a group of Astutians took to the Camouflage Paintball Adventure Centre to battle it out. From scaling the Gates of Mordor, traversing the Mayan Jungle and defending Death Valley, our teams use strategy and cunning to beat the competition. This week we surprised our staff by organising a mouth-watering hog roast for the whole company. We believe it’s important for employers to recognise and reward their teams for their continued hard work. What better way to say thank you than with delicious food and an opportunity to eat, relax and socialise. What a way to spend a Bank Holiday weekend!! 60 Astutians took to the New Forest Water Park to tackle the Aqua Obstacle Course. It was a fantastic day, awesome weather and great fun for everyone involved. A brilliant way for our teams to unwind from a busy week, splashing around out in the sun! Thank you to New Forest Water Park for hosting us – we can’t wait to do it again next year!

Living so close to the beach it would be rude not to take advantage of it!! Last week a team of Astutians went to Sandbanks for Sunset Paddle Boarding and a BBQ. Some were experienced, some had never done it before – either way, everyone got wet but had a great time. Thanks to the team at Poseidon Kite School for hosting us – we had a blast!!

Living in Bournemouth, we are so lucky to have Britain’s best beach right here on our doorstep! Unfortunately, with the number of visitors to the town, the beach is often left in a mess, covered with rubbish that people are too lazy to carry to a bin. On Monday, a team of Astutians joined volunteers from across Bournemouth to work with Surfers Against Sewage to help clean up the seafront. It was great to be able to do our part…
