Barefoot Challenge

Next time you’re stuck in traffic on your daily commute, imagine walking 10 miles to work and 10 miles back again every day, across stony ground in 100-degree heat. No air con; no comfy seat; no shade. Now imagine doing this barefoot.

This is what life is like for the children of rural Burkina Faso.

And this is why Astute has taken Giving Africa’sBarefoot Challenge – we asked our staff to go barefoot for one day to experience a fraction of daily life in Burkina Faso, and raised over £300 to provide education for these youngsters to give them the best possible opportunities in life!
